So maybe if you were paying attention you would know that today is my 16th birthday! If not, thats okay too! I just wanted to take some time to document the best birthday I have ever had! Usually they pass being very uneventful but this year couldn't be farther from the usual! :)
On Saturday my friends planned a surprise dinner for me, which was so amazing of them! They told me it was a party for my other friend who has a birthday close to mine but it turns out it was for me! I am so blessed to have such amazing friends. They gave me presents such as tea (I'm obsessed), an Imagine Dragons CD, a Forever 21 gift card, stick on studs, MAC lipstick, a hat, another gift card, and a Niall Horan doll (guilty pleasure).
Then on sunday my mother and I did some shopping. I'm been craving the Naked 2 palette like no one knows and I finally got it as part of my present! I also got some clothes from Old Navy, Banana Republic, and more...
And today is my actual birthday! I received cards and mountains of cookies at school. My friends
were all incredibly sweet! The best thing that happened though is that my Chemistry lab partner asked me to formal!!! <3 He's tall, cute, smart, and sweet. I'm so excited because I've never had a date to a dance and I really didn't think I would this year either. But now I do, and I'm also incredibly nervous because I just don't know how to go about all this. But I'm sure I'll figure it out! My friends totally made a huge girl squealing scene when they found out (so embarrassing)!
So, this has been a brilliant weekend for me. Right now, I have everything I could possibly want. Good friends, nice clothes, amazing makeup, and a cute boy. The only thing that's missing is the driving license but I'll get that soon enough! ;) Thanks for reading this post about my life, I'm sure its not very interesting at all. I hope you all are having a great January so far and don't forget to stick to those resolutions! <3

Back To School Blues
Hello to you all! I hope you're all doing well. If you're in school, are you still on break? Sadly, I'm not. Tuesday was the start of 2nd semester. I didn't get a wink of sleep the night before, so I was understandably tired. It felt good to see my friends though, they all seem to have had a good time! The teachers went pretty easy on us the first day, as we all need to get back into the "work mode." I'm really not feeling school right now, but then again when am I? I'm just counting down the days until graduation. At the end of this semester I will be half way through High School, and seriously, where did all the time go?! I'm hoping that the second half will pass just as quickly.
There were quite a few little good moments that day, though. My ASB teacher lectured about leadership, and he talked about something known as "lollipop moments." Those are when someone does something small that has a big impact on you, and they don't even know it! Tuesday's lollipop moments consisted of: a friend giving me a Ravenclaw lanyard for my keys from Harry Potter world, getting numerous compliments on my brand spanking new galaxy leggings, a girl saying she liked my eyebrows (I got them done Sunday), and a teacher pulling me aside to tell me that I did really well on the final and that he was impressed.
I meant to publish this post yesterday, but I was so tired after I completed my homework that I just collapsed into bed early after a cup of tea. I'm getting back into the swing of "school life" so not much is going on besides homework. Although, my birthday is coming up this monday! I don't have any plans unfortunately, I can never think of anything to do for it. Anyways, I hope you're all having a fabulous week so far! Much love from me :)

Update
Hugs to you, darlings! Not much to share really, I just wanted to leave a little note. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to things like blogs because it's a representation of me and I want it to be perfect. So if you see any changes such as url, banner, and just general style then that's just me striving to become really happy with it. I hope you all are having a great weekend and thanks for reading! :)

Old Navy, Drug Store, Lancome, Forever 21, Macys... | Collective Haul
-Guilty little pleasure, I LOVE watching people's haul videos!
Hugs to you, darlings! I hope your weeks have been going absolutely swell! Mine has been alright, nothing of excitement though. I slept over at my friends house last night and you know, we never got around to much sleeping. So I am positively exhausted at the moment but I'm too lazy to take a nap (don't judge me).
So as you can see from my very first sentence, I admit to loving watching people show off what they've bought in their videos. I'm always curious to see what others are liking. This evening I though I would just show you some of the things I have gotten in the past week or so. While reading this, keep in mind that I have never done a thing like this before (so be kind)!
-I'll start off with the top left corner. I purchased a nail polish at my local Walgreens for a bargain of $2! I practically yelped with excitement when I found it in one of the extremely dissorganized sale bins (yuck)! It's a Sally Hansen, Insta-Dry polish, and I love the brand to death, or in this case until they dry out. I love the bottle, the brush, and the quality; basically everything about it is A+. This colour is called Orange Splash and I am so glad that I found it! I know its not a very wintery colour but I've been dying for an orange polish. The photo really does it no justice.
-Next, at Macy's I bought the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation for around $44. I was introduced to this product by my mother, well more like I "borrowed" hers. Her shade is a bit darker than mine so I finally resolved to purchase my own. At the counter, the saleswoman matched me and I delightfully skipped away to my home to try it out! But oh no, it turns out the shade was too dark for me! So that involved another trip to Macy's to exchange for a lighter colour. A different girl helped me out this time, and it turns out that I am so pale they didn't even have it in stock (I had to order it online). I'm not going to go and review this foundation just yet, but look out for that in the future!
-At Walgreens I repurchased the Maybelline New York concealer (price around $7). I first bought it a couple of months ago and I really liked it, so I decided to go for it again. I forgot which shade I bought the last time, so I just grabbed the lightest one I found, which was 15 Fair Clair, since apparently I am extremely pale (I really had no idea!)
-Moving on to the middle top photo, you'll see a Burt's Bee's lip balm. I tried out the eos chap stick and although they smell quite whimsical, they did nothing for my dry lips. I decided to go back to trusty ol' Burt's which really does do wonders! (my friends told me its because it has coconut oil in it).
-Top right picture first shows little turquoise Betsy Johnson earrings. I actually didn't buy these diddies, I received them as a New Years gift. I mainly decided to post these to see if anyone had any idea what to wear them with! (I don't know how much they cost, sorry).
-The big gold ring ($3) and the sparkling earrings ($7) I purchased at Forever 21 for my winter formal. I find them both charming and I can wear both after the dance is over as well! I can't wait to show you guys what I'm wearing to it!!
-Now comes that excellent red sweater from Banana Republic ($28). You can't tell from the picture very much, but its red with cream stripes, gold buttons, and pockets on each side. I feel in love with this when I saw it in the clearance section! I was afraid it might be a bit itchy but it's quite warm and soft.
-The next two items are from the juniors section in Macy's. Unfortunately I've forgotten how much either of those costed me, but they were a bargain! I spotted the tee and bolted for it, thinking along the way, "I must have that!" It's simply black with N* 5 in glittery white. Next I got galaxy printed leggings which have been on my wish list for around a year now! I am so happy to finally be able to cross that off the "To Buy" list.
-The rest of the products I found on sale in Old Navy. Now, if you know me then you know I have a ridiculous amount of things from that store. So many, that I actually banned myself from there. But yes, I cheated a little, so I promised myself I would go in there only once a season (baby steps)! I bought a blue, purpley sweater for around $7 and I seriously don't want to take it off. Although it's a size medium and I am generally a size small, the extra space makes it the perfect "baggy sweater" that have been oh so loved by shoppers this winter. It goes over my butt so it looks darling tucked into leggings and worn off the shoulder and I won't even begin talking about how soft and comfy it is.
-I'll move on to the final photograph. The first item is a mint green scarf that cost $12 and matches the next item, a flannel patterned blouse ($5). I actually can't wait to wear those two together with some leggings and brown lace up boots! Last but not least, I saw the white mint green patterned shirt just as I was about to go and pay for my things. I adored the pattern which you can't see in the picture, but I'm sure it will be in one of my outfit of the days! That one was also about $5.
That's everything I have gotten in the past week, apart from what's in the laundry bin. I hope that wasn't too boring for you to read and if you actually read all that, wow I love you! I know that is by no means the best "haul" write up but I aim to do many more of these and improve with each one. Thanks again for reading and have a lovely day/evening! :)

Why I Created this Blog! | Explanation
Hugs to you, darlings! Today, as it's the first of January, I decided to explain exactly why I created this little blog. But before all that, I want to wish you all a very happy new year. I really do hope that 2013 holds better and brighter things, for everyone!
So, onto it! My first reason for finally getting the nerve to create this blog is because tumblr just hasn't been doing it for me. I have been on that site for around 3 years (wow, where has the time gone?!), and I enjoy it. But it's mostly common just for pictures. I can't bring myself to delete my account because the photos on there inspire me and theres something soothing about an endless dashboard. The thing tumblr lacks for me though is writing. I needed an outlet for my thoughts as I've never been able to keep up a journal and I decided to give blogger a go! (Nothing to loose, right?)
Second, one day I want to become a youtuber. I don't ever expect to become "famous" or anything, it's just a community I wish to be a part of, even if it's just a little slice. I've made a goal to make an account when I am 18 and out of High School. I believe that if you're too young no one will take you seriously. So this brings me back to blogging. As I'm not 18 yet I need something to devote my spare time to, some place where I can interact with others. Some youtubers that I like to watch began as bloggers. So I thought "Hey, maybe thats the path for me?" Let's see how this goes.
And lastly, I'm on winter break right now. Which means I've got a lot of time on my hands for a bit. I've been watching a ton of youtube video's and sifting through blogs and I decided "You know what, I'm just going to do it!" Have I made the right decision? I guess we'll find out....
